I guess you coud say I was lucky enough to inherit a wonderfully bred stallion called McCartney. Mac was by the legendary Souvenir out of the A grade Show Jumping mare ridden by Richard Bruggeman called Valli.
And bred to jump he did!
Mac was ridden first by Willi McClean and then later in life by Andrew Paech until he retired to stud duties at the age of 20. He competed A Grade for 12 years.
Mac went on to produce some excellent Eventers and Showjumpers in his time, he also stood with Howard Clark of Koyuna Stud for five years.
Some of his babies include
Koyuna Striesand, SP Mirage (sold to USA), Over The Moon (sold to Japan), Macs Bravado, Koyuna Sunsmoke just to name a few!
We unfortunalty lost Mac at the age of 25, and although we dont have a colt to continue his lines, we do have a few mares as well as some Frozen semen to use in the future to produce a Son to try and fill his Dads big shoes! |
